Joan Sheehan
Chairperson
Joan Sheehan brings decades of working‑dog expertise and extensive committee experience to her role as Chair of the CEDCGB. A qualified Level 4 Canadian Eskimo Dog and Alaskan Malamute judge, Joan is deeply respected within the Nordic and working‑dog communities for her knowledge, dedication, and hands‑on involvement.
Racheal Bailey
Acting Secretary - Committee (Breed Health Coordinator & Events Coordinator)
Kennel Affix: Akna; Other Information: Racheal has the biggest kennel of CED's in the UK, competing in a range of activities with her dogs. Akna also successfully shows and breeds Czechoslovakian Wolfdogs and Miniature Poodles.
Stacy Hooley
Committee
Stacy, from Dökkálfar Sled Dogs, has been a valued member of the committee for a couple of years now. With her strong background in sled dogs and working breeds, Stacy brings hands‑on experience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for supporting the Canadian Eskimo Dog community. Her knowledge and commitment make her a fantastic part of the CEDCGB team.
Kat Copley-Holland
Committee
Kat is well‑known in both the working‑dog and show world, owning and co‑owning Alaskan Malamutes and making up several Champions under her affix Katabatic. Her dedication, experience, and passion for the breed have earned her recognition across the UK and internationally.
Shelly Bennett
Events Co‑Ordinator & Assistant BEC
A lifelong admirer of primitive spitz breeds, Shelly’s journey with CEDs began after many years of showing and working with similar breeds, eventually leading her to seek a true heritage working dog — and she found exactly that in the Canadian Eskimo Dog, with its drive, history, and unmistakable spitz spirit. She recently welcomed her first female CED, who now joins her much‑loved Japanese Akita Inu.
